Strategy for Scale & Impact by Vidacity and ESSEC Business School is a fellowship programme for Southeast Asia-based entrepreneurs working on impactful products, services or solutions designed to help them (re-)establish a strong foundation for long term global growth.
The program is designed as a retreat for ambitious Founders of impactful enterprises who have successfully taken their business from 0 to 1, and now want to take a step back and reflect on how to cross the chasm and achieve their next stage of growth.

Program Curriculum
Why join?
The program seeks to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, connections and network necessary to navigate the complexities of scaling their businesses while staying true to their original mission of creating positive social or environmental impact.
What happens during the program?
The program pedagogy is structured around a framework-based guided process to help business owners navigate strategic questions they are facing and come up with an actionable strategy for the next phase of their company. This process is facilitated by an experienced entrepreneur and professor, supported by peer learning and sharing.
Program Structure
3 Foundational Modules (1 per month)
Each Module includes a one day in-person workshop and an online small-group follow-up 2 weeks later.
Industry Guests Speakers and Advisors will be engaged specific to the cohort profile
Participants will be taken through learning content and hands-on review of their organisation, covering topics on:
1. Why do we exist? What is our mission, vision & values?
2. Who are we serving and what are we offering?
3. What are opportunities & threats in our market(s)?
4. What are our valuable resources and capabilities?
Frameworks and content covered: Golden Circle, Vision/Mission/Values, DISC, Value Proposition Canvas, PESTEL and Porters 5 Forces, VRIO Analysis
Participants will be taken through learning content and hands-on review of their organisation, covering topics on:
1. Where can we go? What are possible strategic options to create competitive advantage and growth?
2. Where should we go? Which strategic options should we prioritize?
3. Where do we go? Which strategic option(s) do we pursue?
Frameworks and content covered: 7 Powers and Ansoff Matrix, TOWS Analysis, Strategic Decision-making
Participants will be taken through learning content and hands-on review of their organisation, covering topics on:
1. How do we mobilize resources needed and launch our strategic option(s)?
2. How do we track market and execution performance? When do we persevere or pivot?
3. How do we lead and empower our colleagues?
Frameworks and content covered: Effectuation and Lean Startup Experimentation, AARRR and OKRs, Leadership Clinics
Guidance: From established industry advisors and experienced entrepreneurs
Networking events: With investors and corporate buyers

Entry requirements
Each cohort will be a curated list of qualified Founders and Executives from growing enterprises. Your company should
- Be a registered business in Singapore and/ or Southeast Asia
- Provide an impact solution (product or service) addressing one or more of the following sustainability verticals: Agri-food, Biodiversity, Circular Economy, Decarbonization, Water Security for any industry.
- Be revenue-generating
- Have been operational for at least one year
Program Participants must be
- A Founder or Director with significant shareholder position
- Fluent in English
- Available for 3 full-day in-person sessions at Vidacity (Pasir Ris) and ESSEC Business School (One-North), and 3 2-hour online sessions

Lead Facilitator
Julien Salanave is a Professor of Management Practice at ESSEC Asia Pacific Business School. He is also the director of ESSEC Ventures APAC.
After 15 years of experience as a serial technology entrepreneur and venture capitalist in Europe and Asia, Julien decided to try to make a difference through education. Since then, he has been helping undergraduate students and executives develop their skills to thrive under uncertainty. Julien holds a Masters in Management degree from HEC and a PhD with concentration in entrepreneurship from Hong Kong Baptist University.
